Some holidays are decided by the moon, some by parliaments. 67 weekend is decided by the calendar accidentally lining up with a meme.
The rule
A 67 weekend happens when Saturday is the 6th and Sunday is the 7th of a month. That is it. No ceremony, no official body. If the dates land, it is on.
The first one
September 2025. Saturday 6, Sunday 7. The meme was at its peak, the school year had just started, and the internet noticed the dates about three days in advance. The result was a weekend of "happy 67 day" posts, sports crowds chanting at every score, and at least one bakery selling 67 cupcakes. It was declared a holiday by nobody and celebrated by everybody under sixteen.
How to celebrate
- Do the gesture at 6:07, morning and evening. Both count.
- Post your 67 Rush score. If it contains a 6 and a 7, double points in the only currency that matters, which is comments.
- Push your country up the global counter. 67 weekend is the closest thing the leaderboard has to a derby.
- Say it to an adult and watch them try to understand.
The next 67 weekends
The pattern is not regular, because months have different lengths, but it comes around a few times a year. Check your calendar for a month whose 6th is a Saturday. When you find one, you will know what to do.
Honourable mentions
- 6/7 and 7/6. June 7 and July 6 are 67 days in two different date formats. Both are accepted.
- 6:07 and 7:06. Twice a day, every day. The clock is a 67 machine.
- Age 67. If you know someone turning 67, you know what their card says.
The best thing about 67 weekend is that nothing happens. That is the meme in a nutshell: a reason to shout, no reason required.
